This event, originally created to commemorate the results of the annual online fundraising event Cargo Day, has many reasons to celebrate that the Mercy Ships Cargo Day’s 6th Edition was a success! You have helped us to make a lasting impact in Africa.
Geneva Cargo Day Gala 2022 at the Beau-Rivage Hotel
The Ball took place at Hotel Beau-Rivage Geneva, an elegant and exceptional hotel with an incredible view of the iconic Jet d’Eau fountain, Lake Geneva, Mont-Blanc’s snowy summits and the city.
The evening launch of Geneva Cargo Day Gala 2022
Tim web, Chairman of the Geneva Cargo Day Committee started the evening with main host Bryce Wagner Executive Director – Mercy Ships Global.
We also had the privilege to have Christian Wahl, Helmsman Skipper « Double You Team ».
Mercy Ships videos were projected to show the impact of the raised funds has on saving lives in Africa, giving hope and healing.
The main course was the trophy celebration!

Member of the Geneva Cargo Day Committee, this company has been giving their address commissions every year since the start! Out of 6 address commissions, 3 were given by this company.
Cargo trophy 2021
Winner : Trafigura – Ludvig Mandius
Member of Geneva Cargo Day Committee and faithful supporter. out of 76 Mercy Cargoes given by the Charterers, 13 of them came from Trafigura
Broker trophy 2021

Already having won the best brokers twice before, of the 24 shipbrokers companies, this winner gave a total of 22 Mercy Cargoes.
Owner trophy 2021
Winner : Eastern Pacific Shipping – Cyrill Ducau
Member of the Singapore Cargo Day Singapore Committee, out of 22 owners participated in the Mercy Cargo Day 2021, they gave the largest pledge. Winning with the highest pledge amount once before, they also go the extra mile by organising a running fundraising event.

Our first time auction was led by auction specialist, Benoit Repellin, Worldwide Head of Jewellery / Director, Senior Specialist / Auctioneer P H I L L I P S.
$194,000 were raised for the sale of 4 scale replica model ships.
