Annual event cancelled because of Covid-19 pandemic
It is with great regret that we have decided to cancel this year’s Geneva Cargo Day Ball scheduled for November 18 at the Hotel Beau-Rivage.
Some of our wonderful supporters may have been prevented from attending the event because of travel restrictions.
We also want to ensure the safety of everyone who participates in Cargo Day and partners in the global shipping industry that join the annual celebration.
Hopefully, the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic will soon pass and we will be able to hold the Geneva Ball once again in 2021 to reflect on a successful Cargo Day 2020, planned for November 4, and once again thank our supporters.
In the meantime, it is intended to organise videos to keep you informed of Mercy Ships’ ongoing work and plans for this year’s Cargo Day.
The annual fund-raising event, which began in 2016, has so-far raised a magnificent $3 million for the charity. Mercy Ships operates the world’s largest civilian hospital ship and has a purpose-built new vessel under construction China.
Mercy Ships and the organisers of Cargo Day hope you all stay safe and well during these difficult times.
